Mission
- Garfoot Project Services’ mission is to support its customers in obtaining the best value from their projects. To do this, GPSL aims to provide high quality project management services, looking at the bigger picture with a fresh perspective and challenging the status quo whilst working side by side with the customer to ensure their needs are met.

John Garfoot (Managing Director): John has spent over 25 years in management roles within the UK, Ireland and the USA for world leading companies such as Intel Corp, Siemens, Bespak/Recipharm, Philips, Baxter Healthcare and GEC Plessey. Experience gained working in a wide range of industries (Semiconductors, Medical Devices, Hydraulic Motors, and Industrial Turbines) has given John a unique perspective of best practice and different ways of thinking. John’s key principle is to listen carefully to and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors.
Steve Garfoot (Projects Director): On leaving school, Steve spent over 12 years as a design engineer specialising in HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial cooling systems. In a senior design roll, Steve regularly managed multiple projects simultaneously from initial design, to purchasing, and throughout the installation and commissioning phases. He was nominated for the RAC (refrigeration/air conditioning magazine) National Student of the Year in 2014 after completing his degree and was awarded with 3rd place. In 2022, Steve joined the family business and has quickly demonstrated the knowledge and experience gained in his previous role. Steve works by the principles of integrity, respect and a desire to get the job done right
Mary Garfoot (Director / Company Secretary): With over 30 years of financial experience in several roles, Mary now runs GPSL’s finances, payroll, and taxes. Attention to detail and accuracy keeps GPSL moving behind the scenes, ensuring everything is done right, making Mary a great asset to the company.
